Your challenge
As a Junior Accountant (all genders) at Hubject, you'll be a key part of our finance team in Berlin, taking ownership of accounts payable and fixed asset accounting as core areas of our financial operations. Hubject is a joint venture of leading automotive, energy and technology companies, and its eRoaming platform intercharge connects charge point operators and e-mobility providers worldwide to make EV charging simple and seamless. Working in an international environment, you'll help keep our numbers accurate and reliable, from day-to-day bookkeeping to financial statements under German GAAP (HGB).

Your Tasks
- Independent handling of accounts payable (invoice verification, coding, posting and processing of payment transactions)
- Management of fixed asset accounting, including recording, valuation and depreciation of fixed assets
- Review, coding and posting of travel expense and credit card statements
- Coding and posting of ongoing business transactions in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
- Reconciliation and maintenance of accounts as well as clearing of open items
- Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB (IFRS knowledge an advantage)
- Support in accounts receivable as holiday and sickness cover
- Preparation of advance VAT returns and support with tax-related matters
- Support during annual, operational and tax audits
- Support in documenting and continuously improving our accounting processes
Your Profile
- Completed commercial training, ideally with further qualification in financial accounting, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of solid professional experience in financial accounting, particularly in accounts payable and fixed asset accounting
- Sound knowledge of accounting under German GAAP (HGB); IFRS knowledge is a plus
- Confident use of a common accounting/ERP system (e.g. DATEV, SAP or similar) and MS Office, especially Excel
- Careful, structured and reliable way of working
- Team spirit as well as a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
